The Conservative opposition today announces its Home-Buying Review.

"Despite having no ideas on how to improve the house buying process, the Tories are hell bent on abolishing HIPS. This is short sighted and likely to be harmful to the housing market," says Dominic Toller, Director of Marketing and New Business at LMS, the nation's leading HIPS supplier.

"Despite exaggerated claims to the contrary, HIPS only adds about £100 to the cost of a typical house purchase. However, they are bringing in much more valuable benefits in terms of important search and energy information for home buyers. All the early indications are that HIPS are helping buyers to make the right buying decisions with less risk."
